Request Driver Support
Driver support is available only when funding is available and when the request fits the Driver Down Fund guidelines. Requests are reviewed every Monday and applicants should receive a decision by the end of that workday.
Before you apply
- Must be a member of the Northern Michigan Drivers Facebook group
- Must be active on rideshare or delivery apps
- Help is not guaranteed
- Repeat requests are allowed, but drivers who haven't received help before may be prioritized first

No. Help depends on available funding and approval.

Yes, but drivers who have not received help before may be prioritized first.
Why don't drivers receive cash?+
To protect the fund and make sure support goes toward the intended need. Payments may be made directly to the shop/store, through a gift card, or by verified reimbursement with a hardcopy receipt.
What if repairs cost more than the fund can cover?+
The fund may help with what is available. If more support is needed, the community may help with a call to action, GoFundMe support, or other available resources.
Can other drivers help?+
Yes. Drivers may choose to work out private support arrangements with each other, such as assisting another driver for a percentage of the day's profit after gas. These arrangements are between the drivers and are not managed or guaranteed by the fund.
